I charge by volume to haul away junk. I have two trucks:

• A full-sized pickup truck, 8 feet long by 4 feet wide by 2 feet tall, totaling 64 cubic feet. Cost is $ 99 per pickup truck load.

• A 10-foot high-top cargo van, 10 feet long by 4 feet wide by 6 feet high that totals 240 cubic feet.

 

Again, I charge by volume, by the pickup truckload. You only pay for exactly the volume that I haul away—$99 per 64 cubic feet, which is one pickup truck load. For example: 1.1 loads x $ 99 = $ 109.

It’s been said, find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. That’s exactly why I’ve been in the junk hauling and demolition business for four decades; it doesn’t feel like work. Of course I take my profession seriously, but I see every junk removal and demo job as an opportunity to help someone. I get so much satisfaction from seeing the relief and gratitude on my customers’ faces after I’ve removed junk from their home or office so they can begin a new chapter. It’s easily the best part of my day.

The enjoyment I get from helping others is perhaps why I’ve been known to crack a “dad joke” here and there while I’m on the job. It lets customers know I’m happy to be there, which I am.
